Medical University of Plovdiv

The university comprises Faculties of Medicine, Dental Medicine, Pharmacy, and Public Health, along with a Department of Language and Specialized Training. Students receive extensive practical education through modern laboratories, specialized clinics, diagnostic and treatment units, and the university’s 2,000-bed teaching hospital, allowing them to develop strong clinical and professional skills throughout their studies.

The Medical University of Plovdiv also places a strong emphasis on scientific research and innovation. Its Central University Library offers more than 170,000 volumes, access to major medical databases such as Medline and Micromedex, and modern digital learning resources. The university publishes the internationally recognized scientific journal Folia Medica, which promotes collaboration with hundreds of researchers and medical specialists from more than 50 countries, further strengthening its global academic reputation.
