Its roots dating back to the Minerva Academy, the first art school of the Netherlands founded in 1798, Hanze University of Applied Sciences (Hanze UAS) is a pioneering education center combining its deep-rooted history with modern innovation. Being the largest university of applied sciences in the region with approximately 30,000 students, the institution is known for the practice-oriented education it offers in strategic fields such as Energy, Healthy Ageing, and Entrepreneurship.
