Porto Business School (PBS) was founded in 1988 under the name Instituto Superior de Estudos Empresariais (ISEE). It later became Escola de Gestão do Porto (EGP), and after a series of transformations and partnerships with the University of Porto and companies, it adopted its current name in 2012.
PBS is particularly strong in its links with business — it was created as a joint initiative involving leading companies and the University of Porto. This governance ensures that its programmes are closely aligned with industry needs, combining academic rigor with corporate relevance.
The school offers a wide variety of programmes: MBAs, Executive Education, open and customized programmes, and postgraduate treatments in strategy, leadership, finance, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation. Many programmes are delivered in either English or Portuguese.
